With diverse landscapes, rich history, and welcoming culture, Romania offers a wide variety of attractions for all types of travelers. If you're planning a trip to Romania this summer, we've compiled a list of the top 10 must-see tourist attractions.
Bran Castle in Romania is an amazing travel attraction!
Bran castle is simply different.
Bran Castle, located in Brașov County, is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Romania. Built in the 14th century, the castle is famously associated with the legend of Dracula, a fictional vampire created by Bram Stoker.
The castle, located on top of a hill, offers impressive views of the surrounding landscape. Visitors can explore the interior of the castle, which houses a museum of medieval art and furniture.
Transfăgărășan Road- BBC named it #1 road in the WORLD

The Peleș Castle, one of the best travel destinations in Europe!
The Peleș Castle, located in Sinaia, was built between 1873 and 1914 as a summer residence for the Romanian kings. The building is currently owned by the Romanian Royal Family and houses the Peleș National Museum.
Designed by architects Johannes Schultz, Carol Benesch, and Karel Liman, and decorated by renowned decorators J.D. Heymann from Hamburg, August Bembé from Mainz, and Bernhard Ludwig from Vienna, the castle is an important historical and artistic monument in Romania.
In 1866, Prince Carol I was elected as the ruler of Romania and visited Sinaia in August of the same year.
He was enchanted by the beauty of the area, which was then a small mountain village called Podul Neagului.
He decided to build a castle in a secluded and picturesque location, which he found in Piatra Arsă.
In 1872, he purchased the land, which measured 1000 pogoane, and construction began in 1873 under the supervision of architects Schultz, Benesch, and Liman.
The workers first had to overcome the unpredictable elements of nature, such as underground watercourses and landslides.
It took the 300 workers two years to complete the castle's construction, during which time the ruler personally oversaw the details of the work.
In 1875, the cornerstone of the castle was laid, under which several dozen gold coins of 20 lei each were buried, the first Romanian coins with the image of Carol I. Peleș Castle is a unique and significant historical monument in Romania and one of the most important of its kind in Europe in the second half of the 19th century.
The Danube Delta- Last virgin place in Europe
The Danube Delta, located in the southeast of Romania, is the second largest delta in Europe, the first being that of the Volga, which is more in Asia in my opinion, which doesn't really happen.
Here you will find the largest and smallest birds in Romania, but also the largest colony of pelicans...in the world!
Yes, you read that right, world!
